The short answer: At the mid tier, where most growing teams buy, Salesforce is $300 cheaper in year one for 10 seats. The gap comes from different places: HubSpot charges a one-time onboarding fee on Professional ($1,500), while Salesforce bills its Pro Suite and up only on yearly contracts.

HubSpot and Salesforce are the two CRMs most US sales teams shortlist. Both price per seat, both have an entry plan that looks cheap and a mid plan where the real features live. We priced all three levels for a 10-person team on the best billing option each vendor offers.

What the numbers leave out

  • Implementation. Salesforce teams often pay a partner to set it up. HubSpot's onboarding fee covers guided setup, which smaller teams often find is enough.
  • Admin time. Salesforce usually needs a part-time admin by 20 seats. HubSpot teams tend to get further before they need one.
  • Add-ons. Both sell extra products and AI credits on top of seats. Price the add-ons you know you need before comparing.

How to choose

Pick HubSpot when marketing and sales share one database, and the team wants to be productive in weeks. Pick Salesforce when you need deep customization, complex territories or a large partner ecosystem, and you have someone to own it. Full plan details: HubSpot pricing and Salesforce pricing.
